Continuing Professional Education


 

The Australian Nursing Federation has developed best practice on-line continuing professional development (CPD) for all nurses and midwives in Australia.

CPE is the ANF’s solution for your professional education needs to allow you to fulfil the NMBA’s standard relating to continued professional development. Your CPD couldn’t be in better hands than the ANF.

Telehealth

Telehealth tutorials 1 and 2 are now available on the ANF CPE website. Tutorial 1 is an introduction to Telehealth and tutorial 2 covers Medicare eligibility. Tutorial 3 will be coming soon, there are a total of 9 tutorials in the course. Please note that these tutorials are FREE to ANF, NSWNMA and QNU members.

With the existing free hand hygiene (1 CPE hour), ANF members will have 11 free CPD hours towards your required 20 minimum hours per year.

  • Manual handling – 5 CPE hours
  • Infection control – 5 CPE hours

ANF, NSWNA and QNU Members
For members of the ANF, NSWNMA or QNU – you can access your Continuing Professional Education topics at a reduced rate of $7.70 per topic.  Members also receive a free ANF professional portfolio where topics undertaken through the CPE website are automatically entered on completion of assessments. There is also provision for CPD undertaken outside of the CPE website to be entered manually by the member to create a comprehensive portfolio for NMBA audit requirements.

 

Non-Members
Non-members can access all online Continuing Professional Education topics for $30.00 for each topic.

Non-members do not get access to the ANF CPE online record or the free tutorials which count towards your CPD. Why not join the ANF and benefit?

Aged Care Training Room
The ANF has launched the online Aged Care Training Room, which provides aged and community care nurses with the opportunity to remotely meet their continuing professional development (CPD) requirements for national registration. The virtual training ‘room’ is accessible to anyone in Australia or the world who wants to further their professional education online. Find out more
